Chinese Companies are now giving direct competition to the American Space industry, but America is always ahead in this regard.

Vertical takeoff, vertical landing

Chinese aerospace company, Linkspace, has successfully conducted vertical rocket landing tests at sea in the Yellow Sea.

The tests involved Linkspace's reusable rocket, c, which reached an  altitude of 300 metres before landing vertically on a platform.

Linkspace plans to develop a larger rocket, RLV-T6, capable of carrying  payloads of up to 1.5 tons, which could be used for space tourism,  satellite launches

Impact On USA

The success of Chinese company Linkspace's vertical rocket landing tests at sea may disrupt the US space industry dominated by NASA and SpaceX, but the full impact is yet unclear.

A CAS Space engineer told Chinese state media outlet Global Times that the firm may hold a first  test flight of a near-space scientific experiment platform as early as  the end of 2023.

SpaceX already employs this strategy, commonly bringing the first stages of its Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets down on "drone ships" stationed at sea several hundred miles from their launch sites.
